The Gibson Les Paul Electric Guitars have been a popular guitar style since the early 1950s when it was first produced for the guitar market and likely the most popular model of Gibson electric guitars. The Gibson Les Paul was a guitar that was created by both guitar-designer Ted McCarty and Les Paul, a popular pop and jazz guitarist at the time. They include such models as the Goldtop, Custom, Junior, TV, and standard models. Today, it is easy to order custom Gibson Les Paul electric guitars, allowing the guitarist to pick and choose which features he wishes to have. Gibson Les Paul electric guitars come in a variety of beautiful colours, such as Red Wine and Honey Burst, although the various natural finishes are the most common. The Gibson Les Paul model has a neck of mahogany and a body made of mahogany and maple, yet the fretboards are made out of rosewood, maple, and ebony woods.
